Personality: Alexia is a calm kitty with a mischievous streak. She’ll be wherever you are—she’ll follow you around, curl up in a bed nearby while you work, and loves to lounge on the couch while you relax, read, or watch TV. She doesn’t always want physical contact, but she does want your presence—affectionate, yet never intrusive. She’s a chill companion, sweet but never clingy. ❤️

When her foster mom comes home, Alexia is always waiting at the door. Her way of greeting? 👋🏼 Rubbing against her legs. A home security camera shows us that when she's alone, she's the calmest kitty—taking long naps to recharge her batteries.

She sleeps stretched out on the bed, next to her foster mom or down by her feet. If it gets chilly, she might even snuggle under the covers. She pays close attention to when her human wakes up in the morning—she comes over to say good morning (and to ask for food too 😹).

When she’s in the mood to play, she’ll let you know—zipping around the apartment full of energy, wanting to be the center of attention. That’s your cue to grab a feather wand and get her hunting instincts going—she’ll leap, catch it, and cling to it like it’s her trophy. If you’re too busy for a play session, Alexia goes to plan B: she’ll find her own toys and entertain herself. Her favorites are plush toys she can chase, trap, wrestle, and bunny-kick like she’s stunned her prey 😹. Lately, a plastic spring has become her obsession—she’ll chase it for hours and carry it around the apartment in her mouth. It literally keeps her entertained for hours.

She’s full of playful energy and welcomes the day with joy. She’s super curious and loves exploring new spots. She’s not afraid of heights and will make some pretty daring jumps to reach places that catch her attention. From up high, she surveys her surroundings to decide her next move. Spending time bird-watching from the terrace is one of her favorite pastimes—she even makes little chirping sounds to try and get their attention 🕊️. She’s a nosy girl, always tuned in to the neighborhood gossip—or sometimes just soaking up the sun.

Her foster mom says she looks like the dragon from the Disney movie How to Train Your Dragon, so she might just be your perfect little sidekick.

To see her true self shine, you’ll need a little patience. She needs time to adjust and make sure she’s safe in her environment. Once she feels secure, she’ll give you a few licks and start purring.

Alexia was abandoned by her previous “family.” We found her near one of the managed cat colonies we care for—uncastrated and without a microchip. Her main caretaker had left the home, and the woman remaining didn’t want her around because she would scratch the children. So they decided the streets were where she belonged. But when problems come up, you find solutions—you don’t leave family behind. We don’t know exactly what Alexia went through, but we will find her a family ready to give her the love and care she deserves.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Alexia is the only cat in her foster home, and we believe she would do well as a single cat.

Can Iive with kids? We think she would be better suited to an adult household or with older children, like teenagers.

Can live with other animals? Yes, though we believe she would be happiest as the only cat in the household.

Ideal home: A calm home with environmental enrichment.
A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Alexia es una gatita tranquila con su pizca traviesa. Ella estará donde tu estés, te perseguirá: usará una camita para estar cerca de ti mientras trabajas, le encanta tumbarse en el sofá mientras tienes tu momento de relax leyendo o miras la TV. No siempre quiere contacto físico, pero sí tu presencia: cariñosa pero sin ser invasiva. Una compañera relajada contigo, pero no empalagosa ❤️

Cuándo su mamá de acogida llega a casa, siempre está Alexia esperándola en la puerta. Su forma de saludarla 👋🏼 es frotándose contra sus piernas. Una cámara de vigilancia nos confirma que mientras ha estado sola en casa es la más tranquila, largas siestas para recargar las pilas.

Duerme estirada en la cama, al lado de su mamá de acogida o en sus pies. También puede ponerse dentro si refresca. Está atenta a cuándo se despierta por la mañana para venir a dar los buenos días (y reclamar también su comida 😹).

Cuando tiene ganas de jugar te lo hace saber: se mueve con energía por el apartamento, queriendo ser un poco la protagonista del momento. Así que puede ser el momento de coger una caña con plumas y agitarla para incentivar su instinto cazador: saltará, lo atrapará y lo agarrará todavía más para apropiarse de su premio. Si no tienes tiempo para esa sesión de juegos Alexia pasará al plan B: encontrará sus propios juguetes y se entretendrá sola. Sus favoritos son los peluches que ella pueda perseguir, atrapar, luchar y patear como si aturdiera a su presa 😹 Recientemente ha triunfado un resorte de plástico que persigue durante horas y lo transporta en su boca por el apartamento. La mantiene entretenida durante horas, literalmente.

Tiene su propia energía juguetona y da la bienvenida a la felicidad del día. Tiene una gran curiosidad y disfruta explorando nuevos lugares. No teme a las alturas y hará el salto más improbable para acceder a algún rincón que le ha llamado la atención. Está claro que desde allí puede tener una visión panorámica y decidir a donde dar el siguiente paso. Pasar unas horas viendo los pájaros a través de la terraza la entretiende, y les hace unos ruiditos con la boca para captar su atención 🕊️ Es una cotilla que siempre está atenta a los cotilleos de vecinos o bien, opta por tomar el sol.

Su mamá de acogida dice que se parece al dragón de la película Disney “Cómo entrenar a tu dragón”, así que puede ser tu mejor aliada.

Para ver brillar su interior es necesario tener un poco de paciencia, necesita adaptarse a los cambios y asegurarse que su entorno es seguro. Cuándo está tranquila da algunos lametones y ronronea.

Alexia fue abandonada por “su familia”, la encontramos cerca de una de las colonias felinas que gestionamos, sin castrar y sin chip... Su cuidador principal se marchó de casa, y la mujer no quería a la gata porque arañaba a los niños, así que creyeron que la calle era el lugar que merecía. Si hay un problema se buscan soluciones, pero a la familia no se la deja atrás. No sabemos que ha vivido exactamente Alexia, pero le encontraremos esa familia dispuesta a darle lo que necesita.

 
Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Alexia vive sola en su casa de acogida y creemos que estaría bien como gatita única.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Creemos que estaría mejor con adultos, o con niños ya adolescentes.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí, auqnue creemos que estaría mejor como gatita única.
