On Vaccination: If you have a cat who has not had their last core vaccination within a year, they are not protected from the most common cat viruses and will need 1-2 vaccinations in order to get up-to-date. These are spaced between 3-4 weeks apart and take 7-10 days each to take effect. That is to say that if your resident cat has not been vaccinated in the past year, to get the best (it will never be perfect) protection then even if you start today then it will be up to one month before they are protected by the vaccinations.
Introducing two cats always implies a risk to both their health, regardless of how healthy they each seem. Please consider this BEFORE applying to foster or adopt with us.
Parasites: It isn't just our street cats and kittens who can have parasites. Sometimes resident animals (cats and dogs) are affected. It is recommended for the well-being of both the incoming cat or kitten and the resident animal that they be parasite treated before the new arrival.
La vacunación: Si ya tiene un gato que no ha recibido su última vacuna trivalente dentro de un año, no está protegido contra los virus felinos más comunes y necesitará 1 o 2 vacunas para ponerse al día. Estos se espacian entre 3 y 4 semanas y tardan de 7 a 10 días cada uno en surtir efecto. Es decir, si su gato residente no ha sido vacunado en el último año, para obtener la mejor protección (nunca será perfecta), incluso si comienza hoy, pasará hasta un mes antes de que esté protegido por la vacuna.

Parásitos: No solo nuestros gatos y gatitos callejeros pueden tener parásitos. A veces, los animales residentes (gatos y perros) se ven afectados. Se recomienda para el bienestar tanto del gato o gatito entrante como del animal residente que sean desparasitad@s antes de la nueva llegada.
