Bonnie

Name: Bonnie

Gender: Female

DOB: 30 June 2021 (I´d put her about 1 year old)

Personality: Bonnie came into our care after being picked up heavily pregnant on the streets of Madrid. Although Bonnie is still only a baby herself, not only has she been a fantastic mum but she has surprised us with how extremely calm, confident and self-assured she is. She has been placed in various new situations since coming into our care and she wasn´t fazed at all, despite also having 5 babies to take care of and protect at the same time. She has shown herself to be nothing but loving and affectionate, who will actively look for your attention. She has trusted every person she has met with her babies, despite them being strangers. As her babies have become more independent, we´ve started to see the kitten in her come out more as she starts to play and be more curious.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Juliet, the smallest of her litter although she´d be fine to be adopted with any of her babies.

Ideal home: Bonnie would fit into any home but ideally it would have some secure outdoor space as she is used to being outside. She such a good-natured girl so would make a great family pet, but the preference would be for older children so they respect her quiet time which she also likes, but would also suit a single person or couple. However, she´s very social so she wouldn´t suit a home where no one is home all day.

Live with kids: Ideally 7+

Live with other animals: It´s a possibility with the correct introductions/personality fit but integrating her with the two resident cats in the foster home has been challenging and is still a work in progress. However, it needs to be taken into account that she´s also protecting her babies so this may change once she is away from them. Ideally, she would be rehomed with one of her babies.
