Bowie and Denali are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together 🏡🐈🐈

With us since they were tiny kittens (but arriving at the wrong moment of the year to secure an adoption when they were smaller), these two wonderful cats have grown up side by side and built their own little world together, one full of curiosity, play, and constant companionship. They’re looking for a home ready to welcome both halves of their story.

👽 Bowie: our slightly bonkers, gentle explorer

Some cats see other worlds, and that’s our Bowie. He’s… a wee bit of an alien (in the best way) 😹 He’s endlessly fascinated by things no one else seems to notice - light flickers, shadows, tiny holes in a wall left behind by a screw which may just hide adventures inside, the possibility of reaching that very high window his sister hasn’t even noticed but is definitely the BEST window in a room full of windows. His curiosity is limitless, and watching him investigate the world is a joy in itself. We tend to overlook the simple pleasures and curiosities in life but with Bowie around, he’ll open your eyes to the funny little daily oddities you’re usually too busy to notice.

He’s also deaf, but you’d never guess it from how confidently he moves through life. He’s a normal cat in every way (well, as normal as his weird little personality allows 😹), and his bond with his sister helps him feel secure and connected.

Despite his adventurous spirit, Bowie is a total softie. Pick him up and he melts into you, purring instantly, happy to be held like a floppy little cloud. He loves cozy hiding spots, playtime with water in the sink if allowed, and - importantly - all food, always (with some enthusiastic crumbs left behind as evidence and in appreciation).

👑 Denali: the surprise of the season, and queen of closeness

Denali has been sadly overlooked, stuck in the shadows behind her brother. She may not shout for attention like Bowie’s striking eyes do, but spend five minutes with her and it’s clear: she’s something special. Bowie’s looks may draw people in, but Denali is the joyful surprise waiting for whomever welcomes these two into their home. She is also genuinely stunning, with a beautiful and unusual fur pattern. Her insides are even more beautiful 💗

Incredibly affectionate, Denali doesn’t just enjoy cuddles, she insists on them. Shoulders, laps, under your chin… if there’s a way to be closer, she’ll find it. She particularly enjoys hanging over your shoulder for a premium view: her dear little paw reaches up and before you know it, lickety split, she’s up there and settling in.

She’s playful and sharp (no sock is ever truly lost), loves to climb, and has a sixth sense for the sound of food packaging from anywhere in the house. “Huntress” is her middle name. Her foster family describe Denali as “absolutely perfect and [she] should be in the dictionary under ‘cat’” 😻

Importantly too, Denali looks out for Bowie. She is his guide, compensating for his missing hearing. If she senses he’s unsure or calling out, she’s there in seconds. They’re regular siblings who play and squabble and cuddle like all siblings do. Underlying that, there’s a deeper connection, a mutual support, each one moulding and adjusting themselves to fill in for the other’s missing parts.

These two are absolutely wonderful cats with a relationship which is special to witness. They tick all the boxes: Bowie brings curiosity and adventure, Denali brings intuition and closeness. They form a lovely balance together, and add so much fun to a home. If you’re not just looking for a cat, but for a pair with a story, Bowie and Denali would absolutely love to write you into their next chapters 🌍📜✒️💝

Medical note: Bowie is deaf, which is quite common in white cats with blue eyes (just one, or both), but you’d never know it – he gets along just fine without any extra help and lives life to the fullest. It actually took us around three weeks to realise that he couldn’t hear even though we’d already wondered about it as a possibility before he came into foster care, due to his colouring.

Can Iive with kids? Yes! They’d be wonderful with children of any age.

Can live with other animals? Yes. They’ve been around dogs already and have had no issues.

Ideal home: Living together and carrying on with their various adventures in any kind of family, be that with a single person, couple, or home with kids. A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Bowie y Denali son dos gatitos con vínculo especial que buscan un hogar definitivo juntos 🏡🐈🐈

Están con nosotros desde que eran pequeños (llegaron en la época del año menos propicia para encontrarles un hogar cuando eran más bebés), estos dos maravillosos gatos han crecido juntos y han construido su propio mundito, lleno de curiosidad, juegos y compañía constante. Buscan un hogar dispuesto a abrir sus puertas a las dos mitades de su historia.

👽 Bowie: nuestro explorador un poco chiflado y tierno

Hay gatos que ven otros mundos, y ese es nuestro Bowie. Es… un poco extraterrestre (en el mejor sentido) 😹 Le fascinan infinitamente cosas que nadie más parece notar: destellos de luz, sombras, pequeños agujeros en la pared dejados por un tornillo que tal vez esconden aventuras en su interior, la posibilidad de llegar a esa ventana tan alta que su hermana ni siquiera ha visto, pero que sin duda es la MEJOR ventana de una habitación llena de ventanas. Su curiosidad no tiene límites, y verlo investigar el mundo es una alegría en sí misma. Tendemos a pasar por alto los placeres sencillos y las curiosidades de la vida, pero con Bowie cerca, te abrirá los ojos a esas pequeñas y divertidas rarezas cotidianas que normalmente estás demasiado ocupadx para percibir.

También es sordo, pero nunca lo adivinarías por la seguridad con la que se mueve por la vida. Es un gatito normal en todos los sentidos (bueno, tan normal como lo permite su peculiar personalidad 😹), y el vínculo con su hermana le ayuda a sentirse seguro y conectado.

A pesar de su espíritu aventurero, Bowie es un auténtico blandengue. Cógelo en brazos y se derretirá en tus manos, ronroneando al instante, feliz de que lo sostengas como si fuera una nubecita mullida. Le encantan los rincones acogedores donde esconderse, jugar con el agua del fregadero si se lo permiten y, lo más importante, toda la comida, siempre (dejando algunas migajas entusiastas como prueba y en señal de agradecimiento).

👑 Denali: la joya escondida y la reina de la cercanía

Por desgracia, Denali ha pasado desapercibida, relegada a la sombra de su hermano. Puede que no llame la atención de forma tan llamativa como lo hacen los impresionantes ojos de Bowie, pero basta con pasar cinco minutos con ella para darse cuenta de que ella es especial. Puede que el aspecto de Bowie atraiga a la gente, pero Denali es la alegre sorpresa que espera que alguien le de la bienvenida a ella y a su hermano. Además, es realmente impresionante, con un pelaje precioso y poco común. Su interior es aún más hermoso 💗

Increíblemente cariñosa, a Denali no solo le gustan los mimos, sino que insiste en ellos. Hombros, regazos, debajo de la barbilla… si hay una forma de estar más cerca, ella la encontrará. Le gusta especialmente colgarse de tu hombro para tener una vista privilegiada: su patita preciosa se estira hacia arriba y, antes de que te des cuenta, en un santiamén, ya está ahí arriba acomodándose.

Es juguetona y astuta (nunca se pierde un calcetín), le encanta trepar y tiene un sexto sentido para detectar el ruido de los envases de comida desde cualquier rincón de la casa. «Cazadora» es su segundo nombre. Su familia de acogida describe a Denali como «absolutamente perfecta y [ella] debería aparecer en el diccionario bajo la palabra “gato”» 😻

Además, es importante destacar que Denali cuida de Bowie. Ella es su guía, compensando su falta de audición. Si percibe que él está inseguro o llamándola, acude en cuestión de segundos. Son como todos los hermanos que juegan, se pelean y se acurrucan. Detrás de eso, hay una conexión más profunda, un apoyo mutuo, cada uno moldeándose y adaptándose para suplir las carencias del otro.

Estos dos son gatos absolutamente maravillosos con una relación que es especial de presenciar. Lo tienen todo: Bowie aporta curiosidad y aventura, Denali aporta intuición y cercanía. Juntos forman un equilibrio encantador y aportan mucha diversión al hogar. Si no solo buscas un gato, sino una pareja con una historia, a Bowie y Denali les encantaría incluirte en sus próximos capítulos 🌍📜✒️💝

Nota médica: Bowie es sordo, lo cual es bastante común en gatos blancos con ojos azules (solo uno o los dos), pero nunca lo sabrías - se las arregla muy bien sin ninguna ayuda extra y vive la vida al máximo. De hecho, tardamos unas tres semanas en darnos cuenta de que no oía, aunque ya lo habíamos considerado como una posibilidad antes de entrar en acogida con nosotrxs, debido a su color.

¿Puede vivir con niños? ¡Sí! Serían ideales para niños de cualquier edad.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí. Se han probado con perros también, sin ningún problema.

Hogar ideal: Vivir juntos siguiendo con sus varias aventuras con cualquier tipo de familia, ya sea un(a) solter@, una pareja o un hogar con niños. ¡Un balcón o terraza es siempre una ventaja!
