Bunny

Personality: We're blessed with some amazing personalities under our foster care right now and Bunny is one. She is a ball of energy and love, bringing light wherever she goes. When she first joined us she had a number of complicated conditions and had clearly been through a lot, but you sure wouldn't know it by her attitude. She loves people, loves being out of the street fending for herself, loves life in general ❤️

Bunny is a very cuddly cat. If your back is turned her way she'll say "Nuh uh, I don't think so!" and jump in front of you to snuggle in close. This affectionate girl is happy to join in with anything, and will be your shadow and support. The best participation award always goes to...Bunny! 🥇 She loves sharing a bed at night, and while she prefers being picked up when there is a purpose, if you carry her somewhere she'll stretch her paws over to your back like she's giving you a hug. She loves lying on her back and having her back legs pushed on while she pushes back. You can pet her anywhere and everywhere, and if you like holding hands/paws she is really into that, too 🥰

When she's not in cuddle mode, Bunny loves:

- heights, and looking out the window (she’s nosy that way)

- playing, with anything, moving or not, walking and boxing as she goes, playing and jumping around like a kangaroo 🦘
- hunting, particularly chase games or hide and seek
- playing in tunnels
- eating. Pretty much everything. Watch your plate 👀😹

Bunny isn't a fan of:

- vacuum cleaners or loud noises (but if you comfort her before or after, she trusts you and knows that everything is fine)
- small toys which don't move (why aren't they aliiiiive?!?!)

She is a vocal cat when she needs something and is trying to let you know, and she's intelligent: she will try different tricks to help you to understand.
 
Bunny is looking for gentleness, presence, and someone who can be energetic with her.  She’s curious and social, and lovely in every way.

Medical note: Bunny is FIV positive, which means she is immunodeficient. FIV+ cats can live normal, long, and happy lives. We are happy to discuss this in more detail with anyone interested in applying to adopt her. As for her missing tail, there is no quality of life issue and no medical attention is required.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Bunny is being fostered alone but if you were interested in adopting two, we have others who would be a good personality match.

Can Iive with kids? Yes, she'd love it! Bunny is always gentle.

Can live with other animals? Yes! She'd be happy with a cat companion. FIV+ cats can happily coexist with FIV- ones (or other FIV+ cats). We haven't tried her with dogs but we don't think there'd be an issue with the introductions done well.

Ideal home: Bunny would do well in an active home with a person/couple/family who is home a lot and is looking for a loving cat who likes company and playtime. And with another playful cat, if it were possible!

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Hemos sido bendecidxs con algunas personalidades increíbles bajo nuestro cuidado recientemente y Bunny es una de ellas. Es una bola de energía y amor, que lleva luz allá donde va. Cuando se unió a nosotrxs las primeras semanas tenía una serie de condiciones complicadas y claramente había pasado por mucho, pero seguro que no lo sabrías por su actitud. Le encanta la gente, le encanta estar fuera de la calle sin tener que luchar por sí misma, le encanta la vida en general ❤️

Bunny es una gata muy mimosa. Si le das la espalda te dirá "Nuh uh, ¡no lo permito!" y saltará delante de ti para acurrucarse cerca. Esta cariñosa chica está encantada de participar en cualquier cosa, y será tu sombra y tu apoyo. El premio a la mejor participación siempre es para... ¡Bunny! 🥇 Le encanta compartir la cama por la noche, y aunque prefiere que la cojas en brazos cuando hay una razón, si la llevas a algún sitio estirará las patas hacia tu espalda como si te estuviera dando un abrazo. Le encanta tumbarse boca arriba y que le empujen las patas traseras mientras ella empuja hacia a ti. Puedes acariciarla y darle mimos en cualquier parte de su cuerpo, y si te gustaría cogerla de la mano/patitas a ella también le gusta mucho 🥰

Cuando no está en modo mimos, a Bunny le encantan:

- las alturas, y mirar por la ventana (es entrometida)

- jugando, con cualquier cosa, moviéndose o no, andando y boxeando a su paso, jugando y saltando como un canguro 🦘
- la caza, sobre todo los juegos de persecución o el escondite
- jugar en túneles
- comer. Prácticamente de todo. Vigila tu plato 👀😹

A Bunny no le gustan:

- aspiradoras o ruidos fuertes (pero si la consuelas antes o después, confía en ti y sabe que todo está bien)
- los juguetes pequeños que no se mueven (¿por qué no son viiiiiiivos?!?!)

Es una gata vocal cuando necesita algo y está tratando de hacértelo saber, y es inteligente: intentará diferentes cosas para ayudarte a entender.
 
Bunny busca dulzura, presencia y alguien que pueda ser enérgico con ella.  Es curiosa y sociable, y encantadora en todos los sentidos.

Nota médica: Bunny es positiva a FIV, lo que significa que es inmunodeficiente. Los gatos FIV+ pueden vivir una vida normal, larga, y feliz. Nos complace discutir esto con más detalle con cualquier persona interesada en aplicar para adoptarla. En cuanto a la colita que le falta, no hay ningún problema de calidad de vida y no se requiere atención médica.

Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Bunny está en acogida como gata única pero habría la posibilidad de formar pareja con alguno de los gatitos que están en acogida en otro hogar: si estuvieras interesad@ en dos, pregúntanos!

¿Puede vivir con niños? Sí! A ella le encantaría. Bunny es siempre gentil.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí! Y ella sería feliz con un compi gatun@. Los gatos FIV+ pueden convivir felizmente con los FIV- (u otros gatos FIV+). No se ha probado con perros pero creemos que con la debida presentación no habría ningún problema. 

Hogar ideal: A Bunny le iría bien un hogar activo con una persona/pareja/familia que esté en casa bastante y esté buscando una gata cariñosa que le gusta compañía y juegos. Y con otr@ gat@ juguetón(a) si fuera posible!

¡Un balcón o terraza siempre es una ventaja!
