Personality: Calliope, although everyone calls her Callie, is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat who seems to live up to the reputation of tortoiseshell girls being a little bit “magical.” ✨
There’s something that makes her truly unmistakable, besides her beautiful amber eyes: her voice. Her name means “beautiful voice,” and she takes it very seriously! She meows to greet you, answers when you talk to her, and, when mealtime rolls around, brings out her entire vocal repertoire to share in the excitement of the moment. She also has the sweetest way of responding when you speak to her or walk into the room just as she’s waking up. With Callie, you’ll always have someone to chat with, even if it’s in cat language. 💬
Curious about every last corner, Callie needs to investigate everything in the house. No space goes unexplored, and she always manages to find something new to spark her interest. She’s also a fearless, agile climber, the kind who doesn’t see a tall bookshelf as an obstacle but as a personal challenge. When Callie sets her mind to something — whether it’s reaching the highest spot or getting your attention — it’s hard to resist such determination! 😹
And when she switches into play mode, get ready! 🐾 She’s incredibly fast and has the soul of a hunter: she stalks her toys, pounces on them, and shakes them around as if she’s just caught real prey. She loves little toy mice, balls, and wand toys, and can spend hours playing with you or entertaining herself. The TV also provides some excellent hunting opportunities: if a bird, a squirrel, or a mouse appears on the screen, Callie will do everything she can to catch it. Someone will have to explain how technology works to this little girl!
But this little explorer also has a very cuddly side. Once playtime is over, she might settle straight into your lap, lie on your tummy, chest, or back, or even perch on your shoulder, staying there to enjoy a lovely session of pets and purrs. She especially loves little tickles under her chin, and if she can climb up the back of your chair to snuggle onto your shoulder, all the better. 🥰 And here's a little tip: speak to her in a sweet, gentle voice, and she melts! She starts rolling around and rubbing herself against whatever is closest, as if suddenly the whole world were wonderful.
Callie is also an adaptable and confident little cat. She’s easy to pick up and handle, travels well in her carrier, and behaves wonderfully at the vet. Meanwhile, her enormous amber eyes always seem to be wide open, watching absolutely everything. It’s not easy to tell when this little girl even blinks! 👀 She also enjoys watching the washing machine spin, as if it were one of her favourite TV shows, and has shown extraordinary determination when faced with an empty yoghurt bowl: if you’ve finished it, she believes there’s still work to be done. And it seems her curiosity extends to other little culinary delights, too… peanut butter didn’t escape her attention either! Is she a little foodie? Or does she simply hate waste? The mystery continues. 😂
When night falls, Callie has one final mission: a good play session before bedtime. After running, chasing, and hunting to her heart’s content, she’s finally ready to curl up and sleep. She’s a fun, affectionate, and endlessly curious companion, the kind who turns every corner and every ordinary moment into a little adventure. With Callie, life comes with conversations, purrs, and a whole lot of enthusiasm for sharing special moments. Who needs magic when you have a tortoiseshell girl like her at home? 🐈⬛💛
If adopting as a pair we recommend: Pimpi—their energy levels and personalities are a great match—but feel free to ask us! We're sure we can find another companion that Callie will get along with too.
Can Iive with kids? Of course! She’ll love having little human companions to share her adventures with.
Can live with other animals? Yes. Untested with dogs but we think he'd be fine.
Ideal home: A home full of toys, stimulation, and places to explore would be ideal for Callie. She’ll adapt to any type of family—whether it’s a single person, a couple, or a larger family—as long as they can spend time getting to know her personality and her boundaries. Please note that we give priority to people who already have a compatible cat living with them or who are adopting her as part of a pair.

Hay algo que la hace inconfundible, además de sus bonitos ojos color ámbar, es su voz. Su nombre significa «bella voz» y ella se lo toma muy en serio: te maúlla para saludarte, te responde cuando le hablas y, cuando llega la hora de comer, despliega todo su repertorio para compartir contigo la emoción del momento. También tiene una forma muy tierna de responderte cuando le hablas o cuando entras en la habitación y acaba de despertarse. Con Callie, siempre tendrás a alguien con quien charlar, aunque sea en idioma gatuno. 💬
Curiosa hasta el último rincón, Callie necesita investigar todo lo que hay en casa. Ningún espacio se queda sin explorar y siempre encuentra algo nuevo que despierta su interés. También es una escaladora intrépida y ágil, de esas que no ven una estantería alta como un obstáculo, sino como un reto personal. Cuando Callie se propone algo —llegar a lo más alto o conseguir tu atención—, ¡es difícil resistirse a tanta determinación! 😹
Y cuando entra en modo juego, ¡prepárate! 🐾 Es rapidísima y tiene alma de cazadora: acecha sus juguetes, se lanza sobre ellos y los zarandea como si acabara de atrapar una presa de verdad. Le encantan los ratoncitos, las pelotas y las cañas, y puede pasarse horas jugando contigo o entreteniéndose por su cuenta. La televisión también le ofrece grandes oportunidades de caza: si aparece un pájaro, una ardilla o un ratón en la pantalla, Callie hará todo lo posible por atraparlo. ¡Alguien tendrá que explicarle cómo funciona la tecnología!
Pero esta pequeña exploradora también tiene su lado más mimoso. Cuando termina la sesión de juegos, puede instalarse directamente en tu regazo, sobre la barriga, el pecho, la espalda o incluso el hombro, y quedarse allí disfrutando de una buena sesión de caricias y ronroneos. Le encantan especialmente las cosquillitas bajo la barbilla y, si puede trepar por el respaldo de la silla para acomodarse en tu hombro, mejor que mejor. 🥰 Y atención: si le hablas con vocecita dulce, se derrite. Empieza a revolcarse y a frotarse contra lo que tenga más cerca, como si de repente todo el mundo fuera maravilloso.
Callie es, además, una gatita adaptable y confiada. Se deja coger y manipular con facilidad, viaja bien en el transportín y se porta de maravilla en el veterinario. Mientras tanto, sus enormes ojos ámbar parecen estar siempre abiertos, observándolo absolutamente todo. ¡No es fácil saber cuándo parpadea esta pequeña! 👀 También disfruta viendo girar la lavadora, como si fuera uno de sus programas favoritos, y ha demostrado una determinación extraordinaria ante un cuenco de yogur vacío: si lo has terminado, ella considera que todavía queda trabajo por hacer. Y parece que su curiosidad también se extiende a otros pequeños caprichos gastronómicos… ¡la mantequilla de cacahuete tampoco pasó desapercibida! ¿Será golosa? ¿O simplemente detesta el desperdicio? El misterio continúa. 😂
Al caer la noche, Callie tiene una última misión: una buena sesión de juego antes de acostarse. Después de correr, perseguir y cazar hasta quedarse satisfecha, ya está lista para caer rendida. Es una compañera divertida, cariñosa y llena de curiosidad, de esas que convierten cualquier rincón y cualquier momento cotidiano en una pequeña aventura. Con Callie, la vida viene acompañada de conversaciones, ronroneos y muchas ganas de compartir momentos. ¿Quién necesita magia cuando tiene una carey así en casa? 🐈⬛💛

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí. No se ha probado con perros pero creemos que con la debida presentación no habría ningún problema.
