Beethoven is a big eared and long tailed bear! He has been aggressive with people but has improved with the volunteers in the shelter so much. Walks in the forest and ear scratches are his favourite. A very special home with experience would be the best for him, he deserves a chance!

Friendly boy who gets on with everyone. His face is always kind and so friendly! Not great with male dogs but ok with females. He is one of the dogs that’s been invisible to many of those that visit the shelter because his cage is placed far in the back. He enjoys to run and play. Boli has years behind but is still a loving and gentle boy looking for a forever home. Boli is great with kids as well!

Damian

Damian is a true sweetheart and we are so proud in the amount of progress he’s made in the past few weeks since having been dumped at the shelter. When he arrived, he was in absolute panic and suffered from severe anxiety. He’s since learned to trusts us humans and enjoys cuddles and treats. He needs a home with the time to give him the attention he deserves!

Dana is a very sweet, very happy girl that is always down for a late night drink or a last minute adventure. She loves to dance the night away and is the perfect wing woman. She makes friends easily and gets along great with other animals. She’s one of a kind and is looking for her one and only! She is in a foster home in Barcelona right now and is ready to meet you!

Beautiful Jerry (aka Daniel) needs a home! We took this handsome boy from the shelter where he had been overlooked for 2 years! He is GREAT with other dogs, incredibly loving and sweet to cats, playful like a puppy, sweet and cuddly, obedient and well trained, totally house trained, can be left alone (within reason), doesn’t need excessive exercise, loves his bed and sleeps for most of the day! He has leishmania that has been attacking his eyes. He had one eye removed while he has been in foster with us and recovered wonderfully. He is having treatment to make sure his other eye stays healthy and happy.

Juanita is very particular with who she likes but once she does, she loves you. Prefers men and perfect for as an only dog with grown-ups. Home with no kids for this reason.Loves to play and run!

Kaiser is an English Bulldog who is about 5 years old. He is a recent addition to the protectora and is deeply saddened by his abandonment. He is one of the most loving and affectionate dogs around and would be a great fit for a family.

Kipper has a special personality and can be dominant. This old grey hair also has issues with his back that is known to his breed so will snap if you touch the wrong place. Once he knows you, he’s a sweet boy! Loves tummy scratches and food.

• Koda is a well trained and smart dog. He goes well with every dog and people! He shares his cage with Leia and they can be adopted together or separately. Koda is big, but still very good with kids and walks calmly on the leash.

Kyra

KYRA / female / 7 years old / mix breed

Kyra is a wonderful little lady suffering terribly from being abandoned at the shelter.

Kyra was dumped there since she has separation anxiety, she cries when being left alone. She is therefore looking for someone working from home and that has the time and dedication to work with her problems and help her overcome them.

Apart from not wanting to be left alone, Kyra is an amazing and friendly dog that gets along with everyone - give her a chance to a better life, she so deserves it

Leia is beautiful and well educated loving dog. Lives together with Koda and can be homed together or separate. Great with people and other dogs. Walks on the lead and just wants cuddles!

This is Lisa! She is a nervous girl and she would love a calm home where she could have patience and security to adjust. However, she is sweet and gets well with other dogs.

Lola

Lola is a 9 year old Rottie that has a heart of gold. She was dumped at the shelter by her previous owners who were unwilling to help her with her leg issues. She spends most of her time laying on the ground because of her pain. She is friendly with all humans and dogs alike. Shows absolutely no aggression towards anything. Aery calm and relaxed, sweet girl. Adopt Lola and be her forever family!

She is wonderful and loving with humans and just wants to play and have cuddles all the time! She suffers with some allergies but these are unfortunately normal for the breed. She needs a strong, experienced owner due to strength and dog aggression. A lovely dog for a family without no other dogs and who are experienced with the breed.

Nemo is a young Rottweiler about 1 year old who suffered from severe physical and mental abuse by her previous owners. She was abandoned in a home on her own and left to die. Thankfully she’d been rescued and is recuperating extraordinarily well! She suffers from hip dysplasia and arthritis that makes it difficult for her to run and play. But nevertheless, she’s learned to have fun with the other dogs and gets along great with all of them!

Very affectionate with people but dog aggressive. Used to live with a male staffy but he left and this changed her. Great as a calm, solo dog in an calm environment.

Pruna is such a lovely elderly diva. She is pretty timid and needs a very patient human with a very warm heart and home. She will just make you melt! Would need a very special home that can give her the love and patience she needs. Quiet secure home needed.

Quiros is a timid and sweet elderly dog getting along with everybody. Nobody can resist his innocent look. As his very favourite game is escaping he does need special attention.

He has lived his whole life in the shelter so he deserves a chance but will need a very patient home. He’s a sweet, sweet boy!

Ragnar is such a sweet honeybear - at least that is what he thinks he is. The truth is, that he is a young and dynamic dog in need of a strong human hand (or maybe two) just because he is XL. Ragnar behaves just like a young viking. He is very brave, fearless, walking his own way and he loves to play and hang around. With a bit of education this guy is the unconditional protector of everybody around him who gained his trust.

Rayo is a special case. He was aggressive to people but has made excellent progress with the volunteers in the shelter. Once he learns to trust you he is not so timid. However, there needs to be no fear and he needs somebody who is willing to work with that.

Rayo is a very sweet but timid dog. He got beaten by humans in the past and, yet, he doesn't need to be feared at all. His fear of humans can be taken away by someone who has a lot of love, time and patience to give to release this beautiful dog from his trauma. Under that circumstances Rayo will be loyal and sweet furrever. -Tom

Cutie patootie Richie is waiting for his furever home! He’s got a great spirit and is always ready for the next adventure. He has a lot of energy, so he needs a parent who can devote time to exercising him and training him. Sadly he’s been brought back to the shelter a few times because his adopters couldn’t keep up where he was going! All you people who like to exercise, now is your chance to partner up with the one you’ve been missing all these days! We desperately need a foster or adopter for this guy because his anxiety has increased significantly recently and he’s suffering a lot in the shelter.

This is Ricki! He’s a young German Shepard with a big and bright future in front of him if he gets out of the shelter. He’s incredibly intelligent and loves to play fetch. He is only 8 months old and very playful. He is castrated and has perfect health. He has the potential to be your greatest pal if you let him!

This is Terry, a big smiling bear! He is In a foster but still needs a home. Very nervous but has developed incredibly in his foster home. Sweet gentle boy that deserves a forever home in his last days.

Tina: ADOPTED! Sweetheart Tina is a bit shy by once she comes around to your affection, she's yours for life. Her and her sister Turner were born in the shelter, and has been overlooked time after time. She is very skittish and knows nothing about what’s beyond the shelter walls. She needs a quiet home outside of the city where she can adjust to life as a normal dog. She’s sweet as can be and we promise you’ll make a best friend for life if you adopt or foster her! She’s 4 years old and will be castrated upon adoption! 

Turner is one of the quietest dogs in the shelter but once you win her affection, she won’t leave your side! She’s loyal to her core and would do anything for her human. She needs a quiet home where she can come to trust humans again. Her and Tina (her sister) have lived their entire 4 years in the shelter and have never known anything else.
