Personality: Evelyn is a calm, shy, cautious, and independent cat. She likes to have her own space, her little bed, her den, and to enjoy a life without too much rushing around. Why rush when you can quietly observe everything and then decide if you feel like joining in? 🐾

It’s important to get to know her for who she is: Evelyn isn’t a cat who likes to be held or cuddled. Nor is she the type to follow you around the house demanding attention. She prefers to have her own space and spend time with you from a distance. She likes to be near you, keep you company, watch you… and sit by your side when she feels like it, letting you know in her own way, “I’m here.” 💛

Because Evelyn does form bonds—she just does it her own way. When you get home and call her, “Evelyyyyyn,” she comes to greet you with a certain shyness, wiggling from side to side with her stiff little tail to let you know she’s happy to see you. Sometimes she rubs against you, lets out one of her little meows, or accepts some gentle strokes—always while respecting her space. These are small gestures, but with Evelyn, they mean the world. When she really follows you around—even if it’s subtly—it’s to get her favorite treat. The famous “churu”—and let’s face it, no cat can resist it.

Plus, she’s a creature of habit and knows exactly how her day should begin and end: her little can in the morning and her little can at night. Those moments are sacred. 😸 And if she gets a little treat in between, she’ll probably go to sleep even happier.

Her favorite spot is usually the scratching post. From there, she has a prime vantage point to keep an eye on the living room: who comes in, who goes out, what’s going on, and, above all, to make sure nothing important slips by her. 👀 It’s also the perfect place to indulge in long naps and rest while feeling safe.

Because when something unexpected happens, Evelyn knows exactly what her strategy is: the couch. Under the couch is her safe haven. There, she waits calmly for things to settle down, and when she decides the time is right, she pokes her little head out to see what happened.

Then she returns to her little pleasures: going out onto the terrace, strolling around peacefully, and watching the world from there. She also enjoys sitting with you on the couch, each in her own space, sharing those everyday moments that seem insignificant… until you realize that they’re exactly what makes a home. For Evelyn, sometimes, just being together is enough. 🥹

She gets along wonderfully with other cats and understands her feline companions’ behavior very well. She currently shares a foster home with Patri and is fully aware of her companion’s needs and limitations: she knows how to play with her, when to stop, and so on. Feline companionship is a completely natural part of her daily life. That said, when it’s time to sleep and relax, Evelyn prefers to step away from the world a little and quietly drift off into her dreams. 🌙🐾

And then there’s her tiny voice. It only comes out when she’s trying to sweet-talk you into giving her a snack, but even her meow is refined and discreet. It almost goes unnoticed… even though she knows exactly what she’s trying to get. 😂

With her, you can sit quietly on the couch and tell her about your problems, your worries, how your day went, or any secret you don’t want to share with anyone else. Evelyn will listen to you. And she’ll probably respond. We don’t know exactly what she’ll say, but we’re pretty sure she’ll have something to say. 😹

Evelyn needs a calm and patient family that understands her pace and, above all, doesn’t expect a kind of affection from her that isn’t part of her personality (at least for now). A family that respects her independence and knows how to enjoy a relationship based on companionship, trust, and small gestures—one in which she can truly flourish. She’s not the kind of cat who’ll curl up in your arms, but she can become that companion who sits by your side, greets you when you come home, watches you from her scratching post, and—every now and then—decides to come a little closer. A mature relationship that looks beyond a first love, as if it were love at first sight.💘

Can Iive with kids?  Yes, with the necessary adjustments and by helping them understand Evelyn's personality.

Can live with other animals? Of course! She loves having cats around. She hasn't been around dogs yet, but we think that with the right introduction, there wouldn't be any problem.

Ideal home:  with his foster sister or another compatible cat or cats, in any type of household—whether it’s a single person, a couple, or a larger family. Please note that we give priority to people who already have a compatible cat living with them or who are adopting a pair of cats.

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Evelyn es una gata tranquila, tímida, cautelosa e independiente. Le gusta tener su espacio, su camita, su cueva y disfrutar de una vida sin demasiadas prisas. ¿Para qué correr cuando puedes observarlo todo tranquilamente y decidir después si te apetece participar? 🐾

Es importante conocerla tal y como es: Evelyn no es una gata de brazos ni de achuchones. Tampoco es de las que van detrás de ti por toda la casa reclamando atención. Ella prefiere tener su propio espacio y compartir contigo desde cierta distancia. Estar cerca, acompañarte, observarte… y sentarse a tu lado cuando le apetece y decirte a su manera: “estoy aquí”. 💛

Porque Evelyn sí crea vínculos, solo que lo hace a su manera. Cuando llegas a casa y la llamas, “Evelyyyyyn”, viene a recibirte con cierta timidez, moviéndose de un lado a otro con su colita tiesa para hacerte saber que está feliz de verte. A veces se refrota contra ti, deja escapar alguno de sus pequeños maullidos o acepta unas caricias suaves, siempre respetando su espacio. Son gestos pequeños, pero en Evelyn dicen muchísimo. Cuando realmente te persigue, aunque de forma sútil, es para conseguir su snack favorito. El famoso “churu”, y es qué ningún gato puede resistirse a él.

Además, es una chica de rutinas y tiene muy claro cómo debe empezar y terminar su día: su latita por la mañana y su latita por la noche. Esos momentos son sagrados. 😸 Y si entre medias cae alguna chuche, probablemente se vaya a dormir todavía más feliz.

Su lugar favorito suele ser el rascador. Desde allí tiene una posición privilegiada para controlar el salón: quién entra, quién sale, qué está pasando y, sobre todo, asegurarse de que nada importante se le escapa. 👀 También es un sitio perfecto para entregarse a largas siestas y descansar sintiéndose protegida.

Porque cuando algo inesperado sucede, Evelyn tiene muy claro cuál es su estrategia: sofá. Debajo del sofá está su refugio seguro. Allí espera tranquilamente a que vuelva la calma y, cuando considera que ya es el momento adecuado, asoma la cabecita para comprobar qué ha pasado.

Después vuelve a sus pequeños placeres: salir a la terraza, pasearse tranquilamente y observar el mundo desde allí. También disfruta sentándose contigo en el sofá, cada una en su espacio, compartiendo esos momentos cotidianos que parecen insignificantes… hasta que descubres que son precisamente los que hacen hogar. Para Evelyn, a veces, simplemente estar juntos ya es suficiente. 🥹

Con otros gatos se lleva estupendamente, entiende muy bien el comportamiento de sus acompañantes felinos. Actualmente comparte casa de acogida con Patri y sabe perfectamente las necesidades y limitaciones de su compañera: sabe cómo jugar con ella, cuando hay que terminarlo, etc. La compañía felina forma parte de su día a día con absoluta naturalidad. Eso sí, a la hora de dormir y relajarse, Evelyn prefiere alejarse un poquito del mundo y entregarse tranquilamente a sus sueños. 🌙🐾

Y luego está su diminuta voz. Solo aparece cuando intenta camelarte para conseguir su dosis de snack, pero hasta su maullido es refinado y discreto. Casi pasa desapercibido… aunque ella sabe perfectamente lo que está intentando conseguir. 😂

Con ella puedes sentarte tranquilamente en el sofá y contarle tus problemas, tus preocupaciones, cómo te ha ido el día o cualquier secreto que no quieras contarle a nadie. Evelyn te escuchará. Y probablemente te responderá. No sabemos exactamente qué te dirá, pero estamos bastante seguros de que tendrá algo que decir. 😹

Evelyn necesita una familia tranquila y paciente, que entienda sus ritmos y, sobre todo, que no espere de ella un tipo de cariño que no forma parte de su personalidad (al menos de momento). Una familia que respete su independencia sepa disfrutar de una relación basada en la compañía, la confianza, los pequeños gestos y con la que pueda florecer al 100%. No es una gata que se acurruque en tus brazos, pero puede convertirse en esa compañera que se sienta a tu lado, que te recibe cuando llegas, que te observa desde su rascador y que, de vez en cuando, decide acercarse un poquito más. Una relación madura, que busca más allá de un primero amor como si fuera un flechazo.💘

¿Puede vivir con niños?  Sí, con la debida adaptación y haciéndoles entender la personalidad de Evelyn.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Claro! le encanta la compañía felina. No se ha probado con perros pero creemos que con la debida presentación no habría ningún problema. 

Hogar ideal: vivir con su hermana de acogida u otro(s) gato(s) compatible(s) con cualquier tipo de familia, ya sea un(a) solter@, una pareja o una familia más grande. Por favor, ten en cuenta que damos prioridad a personas ya con otr@ gat@ compatible residente o que adopten a una pareja.
