Fitzroy

Date of birth / fecha de nacimiento 08.06.2019 aprox (between 1.5 - 3 years old /entre 1,5 - 3 años)

Personality: 🎶 "Fitzroy, Fitzroy, he's a special boy!" 🎶 - this is Fitz's song. This sweet boy with the size and looks of a lion and the high-pitched voice of a squeaky little mouse is the gentlest and dearest cat. We typically work with street cats but Fitzroy had a family, of that there is zero doubt.

This is a cat who is beautiful outside, yes. But it's what is inside which make him so special. He craves affection and attention, and even when he was starving, all he wanted was pets (though he'd happily eat after his first need was satisfied). He was like this in the street, too.

Fitzroy does a wonderful butt dance as he backs towards you for pets; few can move their hips like him 😹 He is very friendly, love love loves other cats, and will be an amazing companion for life for any family. It took us a long time to get Fitz out of the street and he has been stuck in cages for weeks because of a lack of available foster homes in summer/kitten season. We're going to be so thrilled for him when the right family comes along to love him the way he deserves to be loved.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Fitzroy is being fostered and can be adopted on his own, though we'd really love to see him with other animal companionship.

Can Iive with kids? Yes! He does have some nervousness around sudden movements and we suspect he may have been hurt by someone 💔 Young children may therefore scare him a bit if they're unpredictable. But he is gentle and loving and would enjoy being around any age of human.

Can live with other animals? Absolutely! Fitzroy adores other cats and while we haven't seen him around dogs, we think he'd get along great with a dog friend.

Ideal home: Fitzroy will do best in a home where someone is regularly around. He can be left alone fine but certainly enjoys having company, be it animal or human. He would suit any kind of home: a single person, couple or family. He would probably prefer if there were more people around as he's a sociable boy and loves getting affection.

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: 🎶 "Fitzroy, Fitzroy, es un chico especial!" 🎶 - esta es la canción de Fitz. Esta preciosidad con el tamaño y la apariencia de un león y la voz aguda de un ratoncito chillón es el gato más tierno y cariñoso. Normalmente trabajamos con gatos callejeros, pero Fitzroy tenía una familia, de eso no hay duda.

Este es un gato que es hermoso por fuera, sí. Pero es lo que hay dentro lo que lo hace tan especial. Anhela afecto y atención, e incluso cuando se moría de hambre, todo lo que quería eran mimos (aunque felizmente comería después de satisfacer su primera necesidad). Él también era así en la calle.

Fitzroy hace un maravilloso baile de trasero mientras retrocede hacia ti en busca de caricias; pocos pueden mover sus caderas como él 😹 Es muy amigable: ama, ama, ama a otros gatos, y será un compañero increíble de por vida para cualquier familia. Nos tomó mucho tiempo sacar a Fitz de la calle y ha estado atrapado en jaulas durante semanas debido a la falta de casas de acogida disponibles en verano/la temporada de pequeños. Estaremos muy emocionadas por él cuando llegue la familia adecuada para amarlo de la manera que merece.

Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Fitzroy está en acogida solo y puede ser adoptado solo, aunque realmente nos encantaría verlo con otros animales como hermanos.

¿Puede vivir con niños? ¡Sí! Tiene algo de nerviosismo con los movimientos repentinos y sospechamos que puede haber sido lastimado por alguien 💔 Por lo tanto, los niños pequeños pueden asustarlo un poco si son impredecibles. Pero es amable y amoroso y disfrutaría estar cerca de humanos de cualquier edad.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? ¡Absolutamente! Fitzroy adora a otros gatos y, aunque no lo hemos visto cerca de perros, creemos que se llevaría muy bien con un amigo perruno.

Hogar ideal: A Fitzroy le iría mejor en un hogar donde haya alguien en casa con frecuencia. Se le puede dejar solo, pero sin duda disfruta de la compañía, ya sea animal o humana. Se adaptaría a cualquier tipo de hogar: una sola persona, pareja o familia. Probablemente preferiría que hubiera más gente alrededor, ya que es un chico sociable y le encanta recibir afecto.
