Giselle

age / EDAD: 1 AÑO APROX

Personality: It's hard to imagine but sassy, sweet Giselle spent three days in May living in the utter terror of a house-raised kitten being tossed like rubbish into the street. No survival skills, everything familiar taken from her, abandoned and petrified. Thankfully, she was seen being abandoned and with some work, we could trap her and get her to safety. She's been both very unlucky, and very lucky in her short life. We still haven't found the companion cat abandoned alongside her 💔

You'd never know she'd recently had these dark moments! This beautiful girl still has plenty of kitten energy. She often zooms around the apartment on her own, attacking imaginary foes. She gets those big owl eyes and looking at you she gives the impression that she thinks that YOU'RE the crazy one 😹 Meanwhile, she expects you to take her seriously even though her markings make her look like she's wearing white socks on only three feet - we guess one got eaten by the dryer! 🤪

Her favourite toys include mice on string, and she has recently discovered the fun of a little electronic ball which rolls around on its own blinking its light at her seductively. She tries to ignore it, but she just can´t help herself! She will chase it even on the lowest setting where it just rolls, and goes wild for the highest when it bounces around itself (apologies to the downstairs neighbors!). Giselle really enjoys chasing balls in general and if they're soft enough, she'll pick them up in her mouth and run off with them 🤭 She also enjoys working on her fitness alongside her human, doing cat yoga and training at home.

Giselle has a big purr and is an easy cat in all ways. She likes to have chats. She's fine to be picked up and carried around. She enjoys being in company and prefers to be alongside rather than right on top of her friend: sleeping in the bed and relaxing on the couch. She's a good night-time sleeper, and patient about when her human friend would like to wake up. If you see her chilling or sleeping during the day - which she does in the laziest and cutest stretched-out poses - she is very happy for belly scratches and will stretch herself out further to give you full access.

Giselle is a dear and easy girl and is the very definition of "one person's trash is another's treasure." She'll be such a happy addition to a family and home.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Giselle is the only cat in her foster home. That said, she has a very playful and easy personality and we think would be a very good fit with other cats we have in foster if you were interested in adopting two.

Can Iive with kids? Yes

Can live with other animals? Yes, and we'd love to see her with a playmate. She's untested with dogs but we think she'd be fine with the proper introductions.

Ideal home: Giselle would be perfect for any kind of home, be it with a single person, couple, or a bigger family with children.

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Es difícil de imaginar, pero la dulce y atrevida Giselle pasó tres días de mayo viviendo el terror absoluto de una gatita criada en casa y tirada como basura en la calle. Sin habilidades de supervivencia, todo lo familiar le fue arrebatado, estaba abandonada y aterrorizada. Afortunadamente, la vieron en pleno abandono y, con un poco de trabajo, pudimos atraparla y ponerla a salvo. Ha tenido muy mala suerte y mucha suerte a la vez en su corta vida. Todavía no hemos encontrado al gat@ que fue abandonad@ junto@ a ella 💔

Nadie diría que ha pasado por estos momentos tan oscuros. Esta preciosa chica todavía tiene mucha energía de gatita pequeña. A menudo corretea sola por el piso, atacando a enemigos imaginarios. Tiene esos grandes ojos de búho y al mirarte da la impresión de que piensa que TÚ eres la loca 😹 Mientras tanto, espera que la tomes en serio a pesar de que sus marcas hacen que parezca que lleva calcetines blancos en solo tres patas. ¡Suponemos que uno se la comió la secadora! 🤪

Entre sus juguetes favoritos están los ratones de caña, y recientemente ha descubierto la diversión de una pelota electrónica que rueda parpadeando seductoramente. Intenta ignorarla, pero no puede evitarlo. La persigue incluso en la velocidad más baja, en la que sólo rueda, y se vuelve loca con la más alta, en la que rebota (¡disculpas a los vecinos de abajo!). En general, a Giselle le gusta perseguir a pelotas y, si son lo suficientemente suaves, las coge con la boca y sale corriendo con ellas 🤭 También le gusta ponerse en forma junto a su mami de acogida, haciendo yoga gatuna y entrenando en casa.

Giselle ronronea fácilmente y es una gata fácil en todos los sentidos. Le gusta charlar. No le importa que la cojan en brazos y la lleven donde sea. Le gusta estar en compañía y prefiere estar al lado que justo encima de su amig@: durmiendo en la cama y relajándose en el sofá. Duerme bien por la noche y es paciente: espera hasta cuando su amiga humana quiere despertarse. Si la ves descansando o durmiendo durante el día - lo que hace en las posturas más perezosas y estiradas - estará encantada de que le rasques la barriga y se estirará aún más para darte acceso total.

Giselle es una gatita preciosa y fácil y es la definición misma de "la basura de una persona es el tesoro de otra". Ella será una adición tan feliz a una familia y un hogar.

Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Giselle es la única gata en su casa de acogida. Dicho esto, tiene una personalidad muy juguetona y fácil y creemos que encajaría muy bien con otros gatos que tenemos en acogida si tuvieras interés en adoptar a dos.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Sí

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí, y nos encantaría verla con un(a) compi de juegos. No se ha probado con perros pero creemos que con la debida presentación no habría ningún problema. 

Hogar ideal: Giselle sería perfecta para cualquier tipo de hogar, ya sea con un solter@, una pareja o una familia más grande con niños.
