Joy

Edad: 1 año y medio aprox

Personality: Joy, Joy, Joy 😹 Joy is a real character. He is too friendly for the streets. He would approach anyone to say hello and look for some affection or a snack; he doesn't know the word "fear!" He discovered that if he meowed at the door to our teammate's apartment building, she would let him up the stairs and into her apartment. He would get his favourite foods, have a nice sleep in the kitchen, then head back out to his regular life 😹 (he had a rather depressing batchelor pad in a parking garage.) He might not have figured out the doorbell but we wouldn't put it past him in the future! What a cute little con man. Interestingly, now that he's indoors he doesn't seem very interested in balconies. Go figure 🤷🏻‍♀️

With his funny little face he's earned the nickname "anime kitty" and he has quirky little ways to go with it. He was run over when he was a kitten but survived and has come back strong. We don't know if his funny face is related to any injury or it's just how he was born. He likes to play hard and sleep hard: he'll sleep for ages and then "hola!" he's awake and keen to burn off some energy with a toy. He can be entertained by a simple string and will run around after it tirelessly.

Ultimately, Joy's friendliness will be dangerous as the tourists flood in during the warmer months, so we decided to find him a home where he can be safe and happy. He is always pleased to be petted at any moment of the day, greets his foster parents in the morning when they get up and likes to say goodnight as well 🥰

Joy is a sweet boy with a lovely nature, and makes us laugh a lot. He will make a great feline friend for someone.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Joy is in his foster home as an only cat, and we think it would suit him better to stay a single cat.

Can live with kids? Joy would do better with teenagers and adults, rather than small children.

Can live other animals? Not with other cats - he had a best friend in the street but can be funny around new cats. He would likely be fine with a dog.

Ideal home: As a single cat, in any kind of family: living with a single person, couple, family with kids.

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Joy, Joy, Joy 😹 Joy es un personaje real. Es demasiado amigable para la calle. Se acercaba a cualquiera para saludarlo y buscarle algún cariño o un chuche; él no conoce la palabra "miedo!" Descubrió que si maullaba en el portal de la finca de nuestra compañera, ella lo dejaría subir las escaleras y entrar a su piso. Obtendría sus comidas favoritas, dormiría bien en la cocina y luego volvería a su vida normal 😹 (tenía un piso de soltero bastante deprimente en un parquing). Puede que no haya descubierto el timbre de la puerta, pero nosotras no ponerlo más allá de él en el futuro! Qué lindo estafador. Curiosamente, ahora que está en el interior no parece muy interesado en los balcones. Imagínate 🤷🏻‍♀️

Con su carita graciosa, se ha ganado el apodo de "gatito de anime" y tiene formas interesantes de acompañarlo. Lo atropellaron cuando era un gatito, pero sobrevivió y ha vuelto fuerte. No sabemos si su cara graciosa está relacionada con alguna lesión o simplemente es cómo nació. Le gusta jugar duro y dormir mucho: duerme mucho y luego "¡hola!" está despierto y ansioso por quemar un poco de energía con un juguete. Puede entretenerse con una cuerda simple y correrá tras ella incansablemente.

En última instancia, la amabilidad de Joy será peligrosa ya que los turistas llegan en masa durante los meses de calor, por lo que decidimos buscarle un hogar donde pueda estar seguro y feliz. Siempre le agrada que lo acaricien en cualquier momento del día, saluda a sus papis de acogida por la mañana cuando se levantan y también le gusta dar las buenas noches.

Joy es un chico dulce con una naturaleza encantadora y nos hace reír mucho. Será un gran amigo felino para alguien.

Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Joy está en su casa de acogida como gato único, y pensamos que le iría mejor ser gato único.

¿Puede vivir con niños?: A Joy le iría mejor un hogar con adultos y adolescentes, en vez de niños pequeños.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales?: No con otros gatos: tenía un mejor amigo en la calle, pero puede ser raro con gatos nuevos. Probablemente estaría bien con un perro.

Hogar ideal: Como gato único, viviendo con una familia de cualquier tipo: un(a) solter@, pareja, o una familia más grande.

¡Un balcón o terraza es siempre una ventaja!
