Juanito

Personality: Juanito came running into our lives with a desperate and happy series of meows and we couldn't be happier about it. Some cats have a certain softness to them, a certain gentleness which is hard to put into words. Juanito has this. He is all smoothness and soft transitions, he doesn't have any hard lines or edges about him. We've been enchanted by him from the first moment we met him.

So what is he like? He is a friendly, easygoing boy, who loves cuddles, attention, his wet food! And people. Juanito loves people 🥰 He really likes spending time with you in the bathroom, when you're brushing your teeth or putting on creams (or going to the toilet 😹). And if you plan to have a shower alone without a pervy little feline companion, think again! He really enjoys all of these moments with his human. And while your company is his favourite thing about the bathroom routine, he confesses to sometimes getting lost in his own reflection 🤭 Juanito Rafael the Suave and Beautiful sometimes can't help himself from gazing into the mirror at his own reflection, or into the bathroom sink where he also sees himself. He drifts away into deep cat thoughts. We don't think it's vanity, although he's handsome enough that we all enjoy looking at him. It seems more contemplative. Thoughtful. Or maybe he's thinking that another cat would be a nice addition to his days. He does well as an only cat, but he's also the type to be a very good bff for another cat with a similar disposition.

Good conversation in an important part of Juanito's day so make sure to share with him about how you're doing. He has a series of clear and different sounds to communicate things like "yay, wet food!" to "playtiiiiime!!!" However, Juanito knows there is more to good communication than just spoken language and is a master of using his body and powers of persuasion to ensure that you know what he's saying. He likes his foster mum's office chair. Sometimes, she is sitting in it 🤭 Juanito would appreciate her understanding that the chair seems better suited to him in that moment. He communicates this through facial expressions which roughly translate to "get the hell off my favourite chair, thanks mum, love you so much!" 😹 If he wants attention from you it is usually a very straightforward communication: he stands on you without any space between you at all, sticks his face straight into yours and looks right into your heart and soul. You'll get the message ❤️

Lest you think that Juanito is lacking that regular cat energy which strikes throughout the day, he isn't! This wee man can go wild, just like the rest of them. He loves to play in the morning and evening. And the Zoomies hit sometimes, too. But most of the time, Juanito spends chilling out. He's a good dinner companion, too! Although no guarantees he won't try and swipe something off your plate 😼

Juanito Rafael (a gentle boy deserving of a fancy name) is such a good cat; such a good, good boy. We don't know much about his past but he came to us with a scratched-up face and an open heart, and we are so happy to fix the first and open the second to his future, lucky family ❤️

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Juanito is the only cat in his foster home. That said, he has a very easy personality and we think would be an easy fit with other cats we have in foster if you were interested.

Ideal home: Juanito would be perfect for any kind of home, be it with a single person, couple, or a bigger family with children.

Personalidad: Juanito llegó corriendo a nuestras vidas con una serie de maullidos desesperados y felices y no podríamos estar más contentxs por ello. Algunos gatos tienen una cierta suavidad, una cierta dulzura que es difícil de explicar con palabras. Juanito la tiene. Es todo transiciones suaves, no tiene líneas duras ni aristas. Nos encantó desde el primer momento.

¿Cómo es? Es un chico simpático y tranquilo, al que le encantan los mimos, la atención, su comida húmeda. Y las personas. A Juanito le encanta la gente 🥰 Le gusta mucho pasar tiempo contigo en el baño, cuando te estás cepillando los dientes o poniendo cremas (o yendo al baño 😹). Y si piensas ducharte solo sin un pequeño y pervertido compañero felino, ¡piénsatelo otra vez! Disfruta mucho de todos estos momentos con su human@. Y aunque tu compañía es lo que más le gusta de la rutina del baño, confiesa que a veces se pierde en su propio reflejo 🤭 Juanito Rafael el Guapo y Suave a veces no puede evitar mirarse en el espejo a su propio reflejo, o en el lavabo del baño donde también se ve a sí mismo. Se pierde en profundos pensamientos gatunos. No creemos que sea vanidad, aunque es tan guapo que a todxs nos gusta mirarle. Parece más contemplativo. Pensativo. O tal vez está pensando que otro gato sería una buena adición a su día al día. Le va bien como gato único, pero también es del tipo que sería un muy buen compañero para otro gato con una disposición similar.

Una buena conversación es una parte importante del día de Juanito, así que asegúrate de compartir con él cómo te ha ido. Tiene una serie de sonidos claros y diferentes que van desde "¡wuhuuu, comida húmeda!" hasta "¡¡¡quiero jugarrrrrrr!!!". Sin embargo, Juanito sabe que una buena comunicación no se limita al lenguaje oral y es un maestro a la hora de utilizar su cuerpo y su poder de persuasión para asegurarse de que sabes lo que está diciendo. Le gusta la silla de oficina de su mamá de acogida. A veces, ella está sentada en ella 🤭 Juanito agradecería que ella entendiera que la silla le parece más adecuada para él en ese momento. Lo comunica con expresiones faciales que se traducen más o menos como "quítate de mi silla favorita, gracias mamá, te quiero mucho."❣ 😹 Si quiere atención por tu parte suele ser una comunicación muy directa: se coloca sobre ti sin que haya espacio entre vosotrxs para nada, pega su cara directamente a la tuya y te mira directamente al corazón y al alma. Captarás el mensaje ❤️

Para que no pienses que a Juanito le falta esa energía gatuna que le caracteriza durante todo el día, ¡no es así! Este pequeñín puede volverse loco, como los demás. Le encanta jugar por la mañana y por la noche. Y los Zoomies también se muestran a veces. Pero la mayor parte del tiempo, Juanito está relajado. También es un buen compañero de cena. Aunque no hay garantías de que no intente mangarte algo del plato 😼

Juanito Rafael (un chico tierno merecedor de un nombre de lujo) es un gato tan bueno; un chico tan bueno, tan bueno. No sabemos mucho de su pasado pero llegó a nosotros con la cara arañada y el corazón abierto, y estamos muy contentos de arreglar lo primero y abrir lo segundo a su futura y afortunada familia ❤️.

Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Juanito es gato único en su casa de acogida. Dicho esto, tiene una personalidad muy tranquila y creemos que encajaría fácilmente con otros gatos que tenemos en acogida si estuvieras interesad@.
