Personality: Where does the name Kia come from? If we look for a more poetic origin, in Korean it means “the one who rises from Asia,” and in some African languages, “the one who has strength” or “diamond of the sky.” 💎 But… where does our Kia really get her name from? The story is a bit less romantic: our little one was rescued after getting trapped and all alone inside a car. 🚗 That’s why we decided to name her after a well-known car brand.
Kia is pure energy: curious, brave, and eager to discover the world. She’s not afraid of anything, and maybe that adventurous spirit is what led her to sneak into that car in the first place. But thanks to that little mischief, she totally hit the jackpot! 💫 She’s now part of the Gatalunya family and is waiting for her forever home, where a family will fall in love with her.
She’s a sweet and affectionate kitty, always ready to gift you with her purrs and, above all, to show you her little belly. ❤️ Whenever you sit down, she’ll come curl up on your lap and ask for extra cheek and chin rubs. She also loves being picked up and carried around as if she were a human baby.
She loves climbing to the highest scratching post and enjoying the view. Simple toys keep her entertained: a ball or a plushie that she defends like a treasure. She also adores hopping around the terrace and watching the birds fly by.
She’s so bold and charming that she doesn’t hesitate to gently nudge her companions aside to get to the wet food first. But she does it with such charm and enthusiasm that it’s impossible to get mad at her. 😹 She’s also quite chatty and communicates with her voice.
She’s the fastest one to run after her treats. Her foster mom throws them down the hallway, and Kia becomes the quickest sprinter to grab her prize.
Kia currently lives with Baldufa (and has also lived with other Gatalunya cats), and she adapts very easily to newcomers. She loves curling up to sleep with Baldufa after a good play session.
If adopting as a pair we recommend: Baldufa.
Can Iive with kids? Yes, absolutely! She would do well with children of any age.
Can live with other animals? Yes. Untested with dogs but we think he'd be fine.
Ideal home: Please note that we give priority to adopters who already have a compatible resident cat or who adopt a pair. A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: ¿De dónde viene el nombre de Kia? Si buscamos un origen más poético, en coreano significa “la que surge de Asia”, y en algunas lenguas africanas, “la que tiene fuerza” o “diamante del cielo” 💎 Pero... ¿de dónde viene en realidad nuestra Kia? La historia es un poco menos romántica: nuestra pequeña fue rescatada tras quedarse atrapada y solita en un coche 🚗 Por eso decidimos llamarla como una conocida marca de automóviles.
Kia es energía: curiosa, valiente y con muchas ganas de descubrir el mundo. No le teme a nada, y quizá ese espíritu aventurero fue el que la llevó a meterse en aquel coche. Pero gracias a esa travesura, ¡terminó tocándole la lotería! 💫 Ahora es parte de la familia Gatalunya y está esperando a su hogar definitivo, donde una familia se enamore de ella.
Es una gatita dulce y cariñosa, siempre dispuesta a regalar ronroneos puurrrr y, sobre todo, a mostrarte su barriguita ❤️ Mientras estés sentada vendrá a acurrucarse en tus piernas y pedir una dosis extra de caricias en sus mofletes y barbilla. También le gusta que la cojas en brazos y la lleves como si fuera una bebé humana.
Le encanta trepar al rascador más alto y disfrutar de las vistas. Se entretiene con juguetes sencillos: una pelota o un peluche que defiende como un tesoro. También adora dan brincos por la terraza y observar el vuelo de los pájaros.
Es tan atrevida y encantadora que no duda en apartar (con mucha sutileza) a sus compañeros para hacerse con el plato de comida húmeda. Pero con tanta simpatía y entusiasmo que es imposible enfadarse con ella 😹 Además, es parlanchina y se comunica con su voz.
Es la más rápida en ir a buscar sus snacks. Su mamá de acogida se los tira por el pasillo y se vuelve la más veloz para conseguir su premio.
Kia convive con Baldufa (también ha convivido con otros gatos de Gatalunya) y se adapta con mucha facilidad a los recién llegados. Adora dormir acurrada con Baldufa después de una sesión de juegos.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Sí, por supuesto. Estaría bien con niños de cualquier edad.
¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí. No se ha probado con perros pero creemos que con la debida presentación no habría ningún problema.
Hogar ideal: Vivir con otro gato con cualquier tipo de familia, ya sea un(a) solter@, una pareja o un hogar con niños. Por favor, ten en cuenta que damos prioridad a personas ya con otr@ gat@ compatible residente o que adopten a una pareja.
