Luigi

age / Edad : 3 años aprox

Personality:  Meet Luigi the playful, Luigi the chatty, Luigi the dreamer and Luigi the lover of belly-rubs 🥰 This sweet guy is a gem of a cat who's had some bad luck in his life but is on his way up ⬆️ He and our girl Mochi (now Maeve, the lovely mum of a recent group of kittens) were abandoned in the countryside. We don't know if they were siblings or shared a home or what their former situation was like but we do know that they made a very sweet and affectionate pair (both with each other and the people feeding them) and did an excellent job of surviving a cruel situation ❤ Maeve has found her second chance, and now it's Luigi's turn.

He is a generally low energy (except when the zoomies take control!) but playful boy and will be sure to give you lots of laughs. He will play with anything from toys to socks to fuzzy slippers and enjoys a good roll-around on a carpet. He also has no shame when he sees an opportunity - remember, he's had to fend for himself - and has managed to steal an entire croissant from his foster mum's plate off a low table! 🥐🐈🤭 She obviously wanted the croissant but this is why we say you won't be able to avoid laughing with Luigi: would you rather have the croissant or the memory of a cheeky boy racing off across the room with a whole croissant hanging from his thieving mouth 😹

When he's not making you giggle, Luigi has a daydreamy and wistful side and he loves to spend long hours gazing out the window. Similarly he enjoys staring at the other cat in the mirror. We know he will do fine on his own but he is also a wonderful companion to other beings be they human, cat or otherwise. So if he found a cat friend outside of the mirror again, we know it would make him very happy.

Luigi likes to have little conversations and while he's not a mile-a-minute talker, he can hold his own and likes to share a bit about his day. He can be nervous with sudden moves which we imagine comes from his past situation and the stress of living wild, and melts away as he re-establishes his confidence. He loves being petted and he just adores a good belly-rub, and will collapse on his back when you head his way, hoping for some fussing. Luigi is a dear boy, a sweet soul, and a loyal friend.

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Luigi is the only cat in his foster home.

Can Iive with kids? Yes

Can live with other animals? Yes. While he isn't fostered with another cat, he was bffs with our cat Maeve (ex-Mochi) cat in the countryside where they were living and he'd do well with another cat friend. He can also be adopted as the only cat in the home.

Ideal home: Luigi would be great with any kind of family: a single person, couple, or a larger family with kids. We think he would prefer a more chilled out environment, rather than busy and active.

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Conoce a Luigi el juguetón, Luigi el hablador, Luigi el soñador y Luigi el amante de las caricias en la barriga 🥰 Este dulce chico es un tesoro de gato que ha tenido mala suerte pero está en camino de una vida mejor ⬆️ Él y nuestra querida Mochi (ahora Maeve, la encantadora mami de una reciente camada de peques) fueron abandonados en el campo. No sabemos si eran hermanos o compartían hogar o cómo era su situación anterior pero sí que sabemos que hacían una pareja muy dulce y cariñosa (tanto entre ellos como con sus alimentadores) e hicieron un excelente trabajo sobrevivir a una situación cruel ❤ Maeve ha encontrado su segunda oportunidad, y ahora es el turno de Luigi.

Generalmente tiene poca energía (¡excepto cuando le da un ataque de locura gatuna y se pone a correr como un loco!), pero es un chico juguetón y seguramente te hará reír mucho. Juega con cualquier cosa, desde juguetes hasta calcetines y pantuflas peludas, y le gusta darse vueltas sobre la alfombra. También es una sinvergüenza cuando ve una oportunidad (recuerde, ha tenido que valerse por sí mismo) y ha logrado robar un croissant entero del plato de su mamá de acogida de una mesa baja 🥐🐈🤭 Obviamente ella quería el croissant, pero por eso decimos que no podrás evitar reírte con Luigi: ¿preferirías tener el croissant o el recuerdo de un chico travieso corriendo por la habitación con un croissant entero colgando de su boca ladrona 😹

Cuando no te hace reír, Luigi tiene un lado soñador y pensativo y le encanta pasar largas horas mirando por la ventana. Del mismo modo, le gusta mirar al otro gato en el espejo. Sabemos que le irá bien solo, pero también es un compañero maravilloso para otros seres, ya sean humanos, gatos u otro. Por eso, si volviera a encontrar un amigo gatuno fuera del espejo, sabemos que lo haría muy feliz.

A Luigi le gusta tener pequeñas charlas y, aunque no habla a milla por minuto, puede defenderse y le gusta compartirte un poco sobre su día. Puede ponerse nervioso con movimientos repentinos que imaginamos provienen de su situación pasada y del estrés de vivir salvajemente, y se desvanece a medida que restablece su confianza. Le encanta que lo des mimos y le encanta que le acaricies la barriga, y se desplomará sobre su espalda cuando te dirijas hacia él, esperando que haya algo de alboroto. Luigi es un muchacho querido, un alma dulce y un amigo leal.

Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Luigi es gato único en su casa de acogida.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Sí

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí. Aunque no está en acogida con otro gato, era mejor amigo de nuestra gata Maeve (ex-Mochi) en el campo donde vivían. Estaría feliz con otro compi gatuno y también podría ser adoptado como gato único en casa.

Hogar ideal: Luigi estaría genial en cualquier tipo de familia: un(a) solter@, pareja, o una familia más grande con niñ@s. Creemos que preferiría un ambiente más tranquilo, en vez de muy activo.
