Personality: Maria is mature, relaxed, and responsible. She has a protective side toward her sister Mariona, which is why she’s often the one hugging and grooming her. She also has a slightly mysterious, reserved touch that makes you want to get to know her a little more deeply.
She enjoys affection, and although she’s not a lap cat, she always stays close and rests her head near her favorite humans. She purrs when you scratch her head and will even sniff your face 😹
Maria has exactly two modes of existence:
Absolute zen mode 🧘♀️: relaxing on her own or curled up with Mariona.
Play mode ⚡: full of zoomies and chasing her favorite toys—springs or the laser pointer. Of course, afterward she’ll demand her reward in the form of a treat.
Her favorite toy is the spring. She loves chasing it across the floor, jumping and spinning like a solo circus performer 🤸♀️🎪 And when she switches to feather mode, she becomes the team’s athlete: she runs faster, jumps higher, and sometimes does flips that would make any feline Olympic coach proud 🥇
Maria loves to watch while her sister “makes biscuits.” She puts so much enthusiasm into it that anyone would be mesmerized. After eating, she loves curling up, and then comes her ritual: Maria “cleans” the area, scratching the floor around the bowl as if she were leaving everything spotless 🧼 (Mariona does it too, so maybe it’s a family tradition).
She also keeps an eye on what’s happening in the outside world, always ready to gossip by the window. Another favorite pastime is watching animal documentaries on TV—she thinks she’s right there in the middle of nature.
Maria, Mariona, and Arnau come from an uncontrolled colony at a hospital in Lleida. Mariona was the first to appear, meowing and searching for food scraps. A couple of days later, Arnau and Maria showed up. They couldn’t stay there… so we stepped in 💪💖
If adopting as a pair we recommend: her sister Mariona.
Can Iive with kids? Yes, with the proper adaptation. Although at the moment we believe they would prefer teenagers/young adults.
Can live with other animals? Yes. They have lived well with a dog in one of their foster homes after the proper introductions were made.
Ideal home: Living with her sister Mariona or other compatible cats in any type of family, whether single, a couple, or a larger family. A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Maria es madura, relajada y responsable. Con ese toque de querer proteger a su hermana Maria, por eso, a menudo es ella quién la abraza y la acicala. También tiene una pizca misteriosa, reservada, que hará que quieras conocerla un poco más a fondo.
Disfruta de las caricias, y aunque no se sienta en el regazo, siempre se pone cerca y apoya su cabeza en sus humanos favoritos. Ronronea cuando le rascas la cabeza y te olfatea la cara 😹
María tiene exactamente dos modos de existencia:
Modo zen absoluto🧘♀️: relajándose sola o acurrucada con Mariona.
Modo juego ⚡ con zoomies y perseguir sus juguetees favoritos: los resortes o el puntero láser. Eso así, luego exigirá su recompensa en forma de chuche.
Su juguete favorito es el muelle. Le encanta perseguirlo por el suelo, saltando y girando como si fuera una artista de circo en solitario 🤸♀️🎪. Y cuando entra en modo pluma, es la atleta del equipo: corre más rápido, salta más alto y a veces hace volteretas que harían llorar de orgullo a cualquier entrenador olímpico felino 🥇.
A Maria le gusta observar mientras su hermana “hace galletas”. Le pone tanto entusiasmo que cualquier se queda embobado. Adora acurrucarse con ella después de comer, llega su ritual: Maria “limpia” la zona, raspando el suelo alrededor del cuenco como si estuviera dejándolo todo perfecto 🧼 (Mariona también lo hace, así que quizá es tradición familiar).
También está pendiente de lo que sucede en el mundo exterior, así que siempre está lista para cotillear por la ventana. Su entretenimiento también es ver un buen documental de animales a través de la TV, piensa que está en medio la naturaleza.
Maria, Mariona y Arnau provienen de una colonia descontrolada de un hospital de Lérida. Mariona fue la primera que se dejó ver, maullando y buscando restos de comida. Después de un par de días aparecieron Arnau y María. No podían quedarse allí…así que actuamos 💪💖.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Sí, con la debida adaptación. Aunque de momento creemos que preferiría más adolescente / adultos jóvenes.
¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí. Han convivido bien con un perro en una de sus casas de acogida haciendo las debidas presentaciones.
Hogar ideal: Vivir con su hermana Mariona u otro(s) gato(s) compatible(s) con cualquier tipo de familia, ya sea un(a) solter@, una pareja o una familia más grande. ¡Un balcón o terraza es siempre una ventaja!
