Personality: Mariona is, officially, the Chief Explorer of the household 🏞️ Brave, curious, and always ready to investigate any corner, nook, box, suspicious shadow, or package that has entered the house in the last 30 seconds 👀. She also keeps an eye on what’s happening in the outside world, so she’s always ready to gossip by the window. One of her favorite pastimes is watching a good animal documentary on TV—she thinks she’s right there in the middle of nature.

She has enough energy to compete in the Olympics 🥇 Her favorite place for acrobatics is the bed: that’s where she transforms into a ninja, darting around at full speed chasing her favorite feather wand, spinning, and celebrating every game of tug-of-war. Sometimes she even lets out a tiny victory growl 😤✨ And if her human lets go of the toy… Mariona grabs it and carries it off as her personal trophy. (“I won, thanks.”)

Even though she’s full of energy, her sweetest moment comes when she gets tired and decides it’s time for some social recharging 💞 Mariona has an adorable way of communicating: she meows and chirps like a bird when she greets you, when she wants cuddles, wet food, or playtime 😹 Other times, she gives you a gentle head bump or sits right next to you, leaning her body against yours and looking up with those eyes that basically say: “yes, human, you may melt now,” before turning on the engine—a purr so loud it could power a motorcycle. Chin and belly scratches are her personal spa 💆‍♀️

You can pick her up and feel her purring. She’s also a master baker: she loves making biscuits, especially next to her sister Maria. Sometimes Maria joins in, but more as a supervisor of this feline MasterChef 👩‍🍳🐱 And once the kneading is done… it’s time for diplomatic grooming: Mariona loves to clean her sister Maria very affectionately… before starting a playful fight that they both adore. That said, she’s almost always the one who starts the feline party 🎉

Mariona, Maria, and Arnau come from an uncontrolled colony at a hospital in Lleida. Mariona was the first to show herself, meowing and looking for food scraps. After a couple of days, her siblings appeared. They couldn’t stay there… so we stepped in 💪💖

If adopting as a pair we recommend: her sister Maria.

Can Iive with kids? Yes, with the necessary adaptation

Can live with other animals? Yes. They have lived well with a dog in one of their foster homes after the proper introductions were made.

Ideal home:  Living with her sister Maria or other compatible cat(s) in any type of family, whether single, a couple, or a larger family.  A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Mariona es, oficialmente, la Exploradora en Jefe del hogar 🏞️ Valiente, curiosa y siempre lista para investigar cualquier rincón, hueco, caja, sombra sospechosa o paquete que haya entrado en casa en los últimos 30 segundos 👀. También está pendiente de lo que sucede en el mundo exterior, así que siempre está lista para cotillear por la ventana. Su entretenimiento también es ver un buen documental de animales a través de la TV, piensa que está en medio la naturaleza. 

Tiene bastante energía para competir en las olimpiadas 🥇Su lugar favorito para las acrobacias es la cama: ahí se transforma en una ninja, arrastrándose a toda velocidad detrás de su varita de plumas favorita, dando vueltas y celebrando ese juego de tira y afloja. A veces incluso suelta un gruñidito de victoria 😤✨. Y si su humano suelta el juguete… Mariona lo recoge y se lo lleva como su trofeo personal. (“Yo gané, gracias”).

Aunque tiene energía, su momento más tierno llega cuando se cansa y decide que es hora de recarga social 💞. Mariona tiene un método de comunicación adorable, algunos maullidos y gorjea como un pájaro cuando te saluda, cuando quiere mimos, comida húmeda o jugar. 😹 Otras veces te da un cabezazo suave o se sienta pegadita a ti, apoya su cuerpo y te mira hacia arriba con esos ojos que básicamente dicen: “sí, humano, puedes derretirte” para luego encender el motor: un ronroneo tan fuerte que podría alimentar una moto. Las caricias en su barbilla y barriguita son su spa personal 💆‍♀️.

Puedes cogerla en brazos y notar su ronroneo. Es una maestra repostera: le encanta hacer galletitas, especialmente al lado de su hermana Maria. A veces María se une, pero más en plan supervisora del MasterChef Gatuno 👩‍🍳🐱. Y cuando acaba de amasar… toca acicalado diplomático: a Mariona le encanta limpiar a su heermana Maria con mucho cariño… antes de iniciar una pelea de juego que tanto adoran. Eso sí, casi siempre es ella quien empieza la fiesta felina 🎉.

Mariona, Maria y Arnau provienen de una colonia descontrolada de un hospital de Lérida. Mariona fue la primera que se dejó ver, maullando y buscando restos de comida. Después de un par de días aparecieron sus hermanos. No podían quedarse allí…así que actuamos 💪💖.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Sí, con la debida adaptación.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí. Han convivido bien con un perro en una de sus casas de acogida haciendo las debidas presentaciones. 

Hogar ideal: Vivir con su hermana u otro(s) gato(s) compatible(s) con cualquier tipo de familia, ya sea un(a) solter@, una pareja o una familia más grande. ¡Un balcón o terraza es siempre una ventaja!
