Personality: Patri is unique, different — both on the outside and on the inside. And although that should be a virtue, we know it may make her adoption less straightforward. She is a tortoiseshell cat, she has only three legs, and until very recently she didn’t fully trust people 😅

But something has changed. She has started to trust. She has discovered that head and lower-back scratches can be an unexpected pleasure. And that receiving her wet food in the morning and at night is, quite simply, a luxury.

She is very calm. She almost always rests in her little wicker box or inside the scratching post cave. She is independent: you know she’s there, but each of you has your own space. A mature relationship, without demands. Her attitude is clear — not to bother anyone, to go unnoticed, to stay quietly in the background.

At sunset, her curious side awakens. She looks for her favorite little toy mouse and entertains herself by tossing it around on her own. She also enjoys chasing a feather wand and solving interactive toys to get treats out of them. Those are the moments when she most appreciates human interaction and gentle petting.

✅ Best moment of the day: wet food time. She absolutely loves her canned meals. When you go to prepare them, she makes small little sounds she has learned by imitating the other foster cats she lives with.

Patri doesn’t need much to be well: a calm home. She lives with several other cats; she gets along harmoniously with most of them, but two of them bully her, so she’s not entirely comfortable. She needs an environment where she doesn’t have to compete and can have her own little space.

If you have a big heart — whether you have other cats or not — and you feel that giving a home to those who need it most is also a way of making the world a little better, we encourage you to meet Patri. She will be the companion of someone generous, willing to offer stability to a cat who truly deserves it. We are not talking about a “super cuddly cat,” but about a relationship built on respect. About sharing simple moments: good meals, tasty snacks, and those brief but sincere petting sessions that mean so much with her.

She appeared in April 2025 in a managed colony. It was quite unusual, as all the cats in the area had been neutered years before. She arrived out of nowhere, hungry and with a severe injury to her right leg from dragging it along the ground without being able to move it. She couldn’t stay there in that condition, so she became part of Gatalunya. She has spent many months with us stabilizing her health and getting ready to show interest in people.

The legend says tortoiseshell cats are magical. And Patri, on top of that, is a fighter. We don’t know where she came from or exactly what happened to her leg. But we do know one thing: she deserves a home where she can finally live the life she has always deserved.

Medical note: Her front right leg was amputated due to a non-recoverable plexus injury (possibly caused by a car accident or a fall). She does not require special care or medication. She has chronic rhinitis.

Can Iive with kids? We believe she would prefer a quieter home, but as long as she has her own space, she should be fine.

Can live with other animals? Yes, as long as she has her personal space, although we believe she would feel more relaxed as an only cat.

Ideal home:  A calm and peaceful household.

A balcony or terrace is always a plus!

Personalidad: Patri es única, diferente. Por fuera y por dentro. Y eso, aunque debería ser una virtud, sabemos qué hará que su adopción no sea la más sencilla. Es gata carey, tiene solo tres patitas y hasta hace muy poco no terminaba de confiar en las personas 😅

Pero algo ha cambiado. Ha empezado a confiar. Ha descubierto que las caricias en la cabeza y en el trasero pueden ser un placer inesperado. Y que recibir su lata por la mañana y por la noche es, sencillamente, un lujo.

Es muy tranquila. Descansa casi siempre en su pequeña caja de mimbre o en la cueva del rascador. Es independiente: sabes que está en casa, pero cada uno tiene su espacio. Una relación madura, sin exigencias. Su actitud es clara: no molestar a nadie, pasar desapercibida, mantenerse en un segundo plano.

Al atardecer se activa su neurona curiosa. Busca sola el ratoncito que tanto le gusta y se entretiene lanzándoselo ella misma. También disfruta cazando la caña con plumas y resolviendo juegos interactivos para sacar premios. Es en esos momentos cuando agradece más la interacción humana y las caricias.

✅ Mejor momento del día: la comida húmeda. Adora las latas. Cuando vas a prepararlas, emite pequeños sonidos que ha aprendido imitando a los otros gatos con los que convive.

Patri necesita poco para estar bien: un hogar tranquilo. Convive con varios gatos; con la mayoría mantiene armonía, pero dos de ellos le hacen bullying así que no está demasiado cómoda. Necesita un entorno donde no tenga que competir y tener su pequeño espacio.

Si tienes un corazón grande —tengas o no otros gatos— y sientes que dar hogar a quien más lo necesita también es una forma de mejorar el mundo, te animamos a conocer a Patri. Ella será la compañera de alguien generoso, dispuesto a ofrecer estabilidad a una gata que realmente lo merece. No hablamos de una relación de “gata achuchable”, sino de una relación construida desde el respeto. De compartir momentos sencillos: la comida buena, los snacks deliciosos y esas sesiones de caricias breves pero sinceras que, con ella, significan mucho.

Apareció en abril de 2025 en una colonia ya controlada. Fue realmente extraño ya que todos los de la zona fueron castrados hace años. Llegó de la nada, hambrienta y con una herida en su pata derecha de tanto arrastrarla por el suelo sin poder moverla. No podía quedarse allí en ese estado, así que formó parte de Gatalunya. Ha estado muchos meses con nosotros hasta estabilizar su condición de salud y estar lista para mostrar interés en las personas.

La leyenda lo dice: las gatas carey son mágicas. Y Patri, además, es una luchadora. No sabemos de dónde vino ni qué le ocurrió exactamente en su patita. Pero sí sabemos algo: merece un hogar donde pueda llevar la vida que siempre se ha merecido.

Nota médica: su pata delantera derecha fue amputada debido a una lesión del plexo no recuperable (posible atropello o caída). No requiere cuidados especiales ni medicación. Presenta rinitis crónica.

¿Puede vivir con niños? Creemos que preferiría un hogar más tranquilo, pero mientras ella tenga su espacio, debería estar bien.

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí, mientras tenga su espacio personal, aunque creemos que estaría más tranquila siendo gata única.

Hogar ideal: Vivir en un hogar tranquilo y acogedor.
