Pau

Fecha de nacimiento: 12/09/2021 APROX.

Personalidad: Pau a primera vista puede impresionarte por ser un “gatorrón” con su pelaje negro brillante y unos destacados y preciosos ojos verde claro. Él es mucho más que esa apariencia. Debajo de ese pelaje hay un verdadero trocito de pan ❤️ y si algo tenemos claro, es que los gatos negros son unos amores. 🖤😉

Su forma de desenvolverse por la vida hace honor a su propio nombre (“paz” en castellano). Un tipo calmado, sereno, relajado, disfrutando de largas siestas como si de un domingo perezoso se tratara, queriendo una vida a su propio ritmo, sin prisas. 

Necesita que se le acerquen para empezar a interactuar más: emite unos pequeños y característicos maulliditos (hola, aquí estoy 👋🏼), frota su cabeza contra todos los rincones de su alrededor, empieza a seguirte por casa, y se tumba de golpe en el suelo para mostrarte su barriga y hacer croquetas de lado a lado. Esa es su felicidad. Cuando empieza a recibir esas caricias que tanto le gustan ronronea instantáneamente y empieza su movimiento de patitas para amasar en cualquier dirección.

Lo puedes encontrar tanto queriéndose acurrucar entre tus piernas, como buscar sitios menos cómodos para dormir esas largas siestas (desde el mismo suelo, hasta unas una pequeña balda de una estantería) 😅. La comodidad es relativa para cada uno y con sus propias preferencias.

El interés por los juegos no es su fuerte (no pretende gastar energía en eso) pero puedes terminar convenciéndolo con algún tipo de pluma o caña, que estimula su instinto cazador.

Pau está adaptándose bien a la vida indoor, y algunos ruidos pueden desconcertarlo. Sabemos que de momento no disfruta viendo películas en la TV, pero sí que le gusta ver paisajes. Preferencias cinematográficas 📽️

Sus palabras: “dame las cosas fáciles y hechas, no quiero demasiadas complicaciones ni peticiones en la vida. Necesito poco para ser feliz: un lugar seguro y sobre todo, TU compañía” (y esa es tu misión 😉).

Es sorprendente ver como se adapta con nuevos gatos; para él, no existe la palabra conflicto en su diccionario. ¡Todos podemos ser amigos! Cuando vivía en la calle incluso protegía a dos jóvenes gatitas ferales que no tenían el apoyo de su mamá. Todo un padrazo.

Y si algo le identifica, es su forma de pasearse con su cola bien erguida para mostrarte lo feliz que está.

Pau apareció en la calle a finales de 2022, y desde entonces ha ido deambulando por el pueblo para buscarse la vida. Un gato demasiado sociable por haber nacido en la calle, así que pensamos que fue abandonado de joven o bien, se perdió. Ahora ha llegado el momento de darle esta oportunidad que tanto merecía. ¿Preparadx para conocerle?

Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: Pau es gato único en su casa de acogida, pero estamos seguras que se adaptaría fácilmente a un hogar con otro gat@ residente.

¿Puede vivir con niños? ¡Si!

¿Puede vivir con otros animales? ¡Si! No se ha probado con perros pero creemos que con la debida presentación no habría ningún problema.

¿Hogar ideal? Pau sería genial con cualquier tipo de familia: una persona soltera, una pareja o una familia grande con niños. Creemos que preferiría un ambiente más relajado, en lugar de uno ocupado y activo.  ¡Un balcón o terraza es siempre un plus!

Personality: Pau at first sight may strike you as a "big cat dude, wow what a cat" with his shiny black coat and beautiful light green eyes. He’s much more than that. Underneath that luxurious fur is a real little piece of darling of a personality ❤️ And if there’s one thing we know in general, it's that black cats are often such sweethearts 🖤😉

His way of making his way through life matches up to the name we’ve given him ("peace" in Catalán). A calm, serene, relaxed guy, enjoying long naps as if it were a lazy Sunday, wanting a life at his own pace, unhurried.

He needs a bit of a gentle first approach to seek out your attentions: he lets out some darling little meows quite specific to him (“hello, here I am 👋🏼”), rubs his head against all the nearby corners, starts following you around the house, and suddenly drops down on the floor to show you his belly and make biscuits all over the place. That's his happy place. When he starts getting those pets he loves so much, he instantly purrs and starts biscuit-making factory in any and every direction.

You can find Pau both wanting to curl up between your legs, and looking for less comfortable places to sleep his long naps (from the floor itself, to a small shelf of a bookcase) 😅 Comfort is relative for everyone and we don’t judge his preferences.

Interest in playtime isn’t his forte (he doesn't intend to spend his energy on that) but you can end up coaxing him to play with some kind of feather or wand toy, kicking his hunting instincts  into gear.

Pau is adapting well to indoor life, though some noises make him nervous to start. We know that he’s not big on movies on TV at the moment, but he does enjoy watching scenery outside. We all have our film preferences! 📽️

In Pau’s words: "Give me things easy and sorted out, I don't look for too many complications or have so many requests in life. I don’t need much to be happy: a safe place and above all, YOUR company" (and here’s your mission, according to Pau 😉).

It's amazing to see how he adapts to new cats; for him, there’s no such word as conflict in his dictionary - we can all be friends! When he lived on the street he even protected two young feral kittens who didn't have the support of their mum. He’s a big, softie, daddy cat.

And if there is one thing which identifies Pau as Pau, it's the way he walks around with his tail held high to show you just how happy he is.

Pau appeared in the streets at the end of 2022, and since then he has been wandering around the village to make his way and survive. He is too sociable a cat for having being born on the street, so we think that he was either abandoned at a young age or lost. Now it's time to give him the chance he always deserved. Are you ready to meet him?

If adopting as a pair we recommend: Pau is an only cat in his foster home, but we are sure he would easily adapt to a home with another resident cat.

Can Iive with kids? Yes!

Can live with other animals? Yes! He has not been tested with dogs but we believe that with proper introductions there would be no problem.

Ideal home: Pau would be great with any type of family: a single person, a couple or a large family with children. We think he would prefer a more relaxed environment, rather than a busy and active one - a balcony or terrace is always a plus!
