Ricky is one of the best cats that we have ever met, and believe me when I tell you this, we have a met a LOT of cats!!! He is everything anyone could ever want in a cat. He is a cuddler, he is smart as a whip, he’s sweet and affectionate, he’s a great eater, and he is just so, so, so GUAPO! WHAT ELSE COULD YOU WANT??

The biggest takeaway on Ricky is that he loves to cuddle. Not just the average sit on your lap during movies cuddle, I’m talking come find you in the house and lay across your lap for hours on end. DAYS if he could!! We’re talking wake up in the middle of the night engulfed in his arms sort of cuddler.

You know he’s really enjoying the cuddling when he slowly stretches out his paws, extending each finger, and sighs deeply. It is then that he is truly relaxed. He closes his eyes every time you kiss him so that he can really absorb it and enjoy it.

The second biggest take away is that Ricky is very smart. He’s the cat that figures out the puzzle before you can. He’s got the treat already in his mouth and you’ve just only blinked. He loves smart-cat games where treats are hidden or he needs to work out a solution to find it. You could even let him fill in for you at work, seriously, your boss would have no idea. HE IS THAT SMART!!

This sweet boy was found in one of the colonies that we manage and stole the heart of his his colony feeder. In fact, she has tried multiple times to figure out a way to keep him all to herself, but he is better off out of the streets and in someone’s home.

Can Iive with kids? Yes! Calm children with a heart for animals would be a great fit for Ricky.

Can live with other animals? Yes! He prefers male cats to female cats. Untested with dogs but we think they'd be fine with a well-behaved dog for him to cuddle up to when you’re not at home.

Ideal home: With a parent that works from home so that he can get all the cuddles and attention he wants throughout the day! He would also enjoy having a protected balcony or terrace to watch the world and relax among the plants. Because he is from a colony, it’s very important that all windows and terraces be protected with netting.
