Personality: Toby was a mama's boy, always close to her and more reserved by nature. He's a bit tough to start, showing little interest in getting to know you, but it's all a front. Now he follows in the footsteps of his sister Maia, always watching her to see if everything new is safe, and may be of interest to him.
Toby prefers that you make slow movements towards him: if you slowly bring your hand closer to him, he's chill about it. That's when you can give him some love, and will get some sweet purrs for your attention.
He will hide at times, but it's just a matter of adaptation. When he is relaxed you can find him sleeping fully stretched out, as if it were a sausage. He loves to sleep between blankets to stay warm and camouflaged at the same time.
In his foster home he is nicknamed “fu fu," because sometimes he greets you with little snorts that make him scarily adorable 😹
Toby's downfall is liquid snacks (if they are fish-flavoured, even better!). He only has to see the packet and he is already shamelessly approaching to get his share, and if possible, his sister's too 😹
He enjoys different toys and the tower with balls is one of his favorites. Playfully biting his sister Maia is part of his play routine as well. His energy level is rather low; he prefers tranquility above all else 😇
Our repeated experience with mama's boy kittens is that they typically start out more reserved in nature, having stuck close to their mothers, and and are usually the biggest of the kittens (they were always first to the milk bar). They can be more nervous to start but once that melts away they typically bond very tightly to their human parents, and transfer their love for their cat mum to them. They end up being very affectionate cats who become "mama's boys" but with their human parents, thought it usually takes a little bit longer than the other kittens. Take this into account when considering Toby and his personality, depending on whether you prefer more attached kittens or ones who are a bit more independent.
If adopting as a pair we recommend: his sister, Maia. They have quite distinct personalities but love being together.
Can Iive with kids? Yes, though Toby is the type who would prefer to live with adults and teenagers.
Can live with other animals? Yes. Untested with dogs but we think he'd be fine.
Ideal home: Living together forever with his sister Maia in a quieter kind of family, be that with a single person, couple, or family with kids.
A balcony or terrace is always a plus! We give priority to people applying who are interested in adopting siblings together. We also love the idea of a family looking for a friend or playmate for their resident cat.

Personalidad: Toby era el niño de mamá, siempre cerca suyo y más reservado. Se hace un poco el duro, mostrando poco interés en conocerte, pero es fachada. Ahora sigue los pasos de su hermana Maia, siempre la observa para ver si todo lo nuevo está bien y puede llegar a ser de su interés.
Prefiere que hagas movimientos lentos: si la acercas despacio la mano, te reconocerá y estará tranquilo. Será el momento en que puedes darles unos mimos, disfrutando tanto él como tú de ese momento y escuchar unos pequeños ronroneos.
Puede esconderse en algunas ocasiones, pero es solo cuestión de adaptación. Cuando está relajado puedes encontrarlo durmiendo totalmente estirado, como si de una salchicha se tratara. Adora dormir entre mantas para estar calentito y al mismo tiempo camuflarse.
En su casa de acogida le apodan “fu fu”, debido a que en ocasiones, saluda con unos pequeños bufidos que lo hacen a la misma vez adorable 😹
La perdición de Toby son los snacks líquidos (¡si son de pescado todavía mejor!), es solo ver la bolsita y ya se acerca de forma descarada para conseguir su ración, y a poder ser, la de su hermana también 😹
Interactúa con diferentes juguetes, la torre con pelotitas es uno de sus favoritos. Jugar a morder a su hermana Maia forma parte de su rutina de juegos. Su nivel de energía es más bien bajo, prefiere la tranquilidad ante todo. 😇
Nuestra experiencia repetida con los gatitos tipo niños de mamá es que, por lo general, comienzan con una naturaleza más reservada, se han mantenido cerca de sus madres y, por lo general, son los gatitos más grandes (siempre fueron los primeros en llegar a la barra de leche). Pueden estar más nerviosos al principio, pero una vez que eso se desvanece, por lo general se unen muy estrechamente a sus papis humanos y les transfieren su amor por su mamá gata. Terminan siendo gatos muy cariñosos que se convierten en "niños de mamá", pero con sus papis humanos, piensan que por lo general toma un poco más de tiempo que los otros gatitos. Ten esto en cuenta cuando consideres a Toby y su personalidad, dependiendo de si prefieres gatitos más apegados o que sean un poco más independientes.
Si adoptas en pareja te recomendamos: su hermana Maia. Tienen personalidades distintas, pero sin duda les gusta estar juntos ❤️
¿Puede vivir con niños? Sí, pero Toby es más el tipo que preferiría adultos o adolescentes
¿Puede vivir con otros animales? Sí, no se ha probado con perros pero creemos que con la debida presentación no habría ningún problema.
Hogar ideal: vivir para siempre con su hermana Maia y con una familia más tranquila, ya sea un(a) solter@, pareja, o con una familia más grande.
¡Un balcón o terraza es siempre un plus! Damos prioridad a las personas que estén interesadas en adoptar hermanos juntos. También nos encanta la idea de una familia que busque un amigo o compañero de juegos para su gat@ residente.
